Neo, married to the (of course) best wife in the whole universe, and still a YWAM young timer. Ya, that's me.
In April 2004 we did a DTS in YWAM Perth, Western Australia (check YWAM Perth's homepage). We came back on staff as soon as it was somehow possible, which was January 2005. Since then my wife is in the registrars office (see YWAM Perth Backbone Ministry) but also has been on a medical boomerang (medical short term outreach) in India. I'm serving in the frontier mission media ministry Create International. My main area of ministry is Internet Evangelism and maintaining the office IT and maintaining the Create International, Indigitech and our evangelistic websites. Indigitech is a website with information and resources for missions. If you're looking for a bible, music, video, track, art, information about a people group, etc and how to use that for evangelism that might be the site you waited for. Then, I'm also part of the Base worship team, mainly as techie.
We're both from Germany, so feel free to correct the typos. Although, I have the impression that both our English is better than our German by now. Can you imagine?
Some of my other areas of interest besides the above mentioned are Linux, Server, Sound mixing & recording, Guitars, Singing, 4WD with a special interest in Land Rover Defender, just to mention a few. Not to forget I always like to stir a bit of trouble, to be a bit cheeky and for sure always enjoy a good laugh. So, you better watch out... Just come by for a nice cup of tea and find out for yourself. Well, for you non-believers there's coffee, hot choc and Milo as well.
When I don't think about ministry I enjoy a good movie or book (or both at the same time), a chat with others or simply listening to music and doing nothing else. So, does that mean I consider 4WD as a ministry thing? Yes, I do. Although it's still "only" a vision. But just imagine you want to reach people in outback areas and the roads are getting a little rough. You really want that to stop you from reaching out to these folks?
Besides all that I'm a strong advocate of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). I prefer software that's based on standards and is working cross platform instead of proprietary, non-standard compliant software as far as that is possible. However, I encourage everyone to consider to contribute towards those who develop the software, if that is possible for you. We never should take free software as granted and a right to have. All in all Computers and Software are tools provided by God for us to use. God will provide what we need to do what He asked us to. But I believe it's wise to consider FOSS in order to be good stewards of the finances that God gives us.
So, why “Neo” after all you might ask.
For security reasons I simply try to make connections to my/our personal website not to obvious. Well, as far as that is possible anyways.
Feel free to contact me at any time. The best way to do that is to write to the webmaster on Create's website.
